Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter and youngest child of Richard McCormick. She was born August 5th, 1956 on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. The mother of the child was home and also mother to her children. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three oldest brothers. McCormick began singing and dancing in her early years and often performed puppet shows in front of the children from her neighborhood. In the year she turned 6, McCormick won her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called McCormick to inquire whether the actress was looking to pursue a career in show business. McCormick was commissioned to perform in her debut major part in 1964, in a tv commercial for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. In the following year, she starred in another commercial for Mattels Chatty Cathy doll and was later cast in the show The Wind It Up And It breaks at the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the part of the oldest daughter in the trio of towheaded girls on The Brady Bunch. The show was a collaboration between Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a new blended family. It lasted five years. McCormick wrote in her 2008 memoir Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she was close to having ended her relationship in the fifth season of the show to Barry Williams, her co-star and brother on screen. In the moment, she was 16 and he was 19. The incident would have happened according to her. However, the timing for our relationship was not right.
