Maureen Denise McCormick, the sole child of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. The mother of the child was home as a mother. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her elder brothers. At a young age, McCormick loved to sing and dance and would often present puppet shows to the neighborhood children. When McCormick was six years young, she took home her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency phoned and asked her whether she would like to enter show business. McCormick was chosen to play in her first big part in 1964, in an tv commercial featuring Mattels latest doll Baby Pattaburp. The following year she appeared in another commercial with the company's Chatty Cathy doll and was later cast in the show the play Wind It Up And It is Broken on stage at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was chosen from among 1200 children who auditioned to play the eldest of three towheaded girls in the upcoming TV show The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with an unintended family. This show lasted for five seasons. In her memoir Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice released in 2008, McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season of the show, she almost lost her virginity to her screen co-star and brother Barry Williams. In the moment, she was 16, and he was 19. It was likely that we would have a romantic relationship, said she. However, the timing was not right.
