Ricci is the youngest child and the youngest child of Ralph Ricci and Sarah Murdoch. She was born in Santa Monica, California. Her mother was former Ford Agency actress in the 1960s who later turned into a real estate agent. Her father worked as a lawyer and was also an obnoxious-scream therapist. Ricci said she believed that her Italian origins are the direct consequence of her surname that she holds. In four to five generations one Italian man and woman married Irish women. They had all their sons. The Irish had more marriages and they had more kids. The family of Ricci moved from Italy and was settled in Montclair, New Jersey. She went to Montclair High School as well as Montclair High School. After that, she attended Montclair High School, which is the Professional Children's School of New York City.
